Inelect Corporation strives to meet the demanding needs of various Military, FAA, and commercial applications. In order to meet the needs of our customers, Inelect has developed a strategy to purchase commercial off the shelf (COTS) equipment, and turn it into ruggedized off the shelf (ROTS) equipment. This ROTS equipment is much more cost and time effective, there is little lead-time associated with our processes of ruggedizing. Innovative solutions are found through rigorous testing to enable the COTS equipment to be transformed into ROTS equipment. Various techniques are used to extend the operating environment of COTS equipment, such as shock isolation, and temperature stabilization. Low temperature limitations can be overcome by strategically placing heating elements on or around the device, while forced convection cooling and the implementation of heat pipes can dissipate heat from hot spots. Our goal is to provide cost effective solutions for the survivability of the latest commercial and industrial technology for the implementation in a variety of applications.
